Customer Protection Policy (BCG #004)
In order to ensure safety and security for our customers and their homes, Beyond Cleaning Group has the following policies and procedures in place.
All contractors of Beyond Cleaning Group will go through the following screening process:
- All contractors of Beyond Cleaning Group will be phone interviewed by one of our experienced administrative personnel. This is a standardized interview that screens for legal right to provide services as a contractor, reliable transport, good communication and listening skills, intent to stay in the area, motivation to work as a cleaner & the reason their last employment or contract ended.
- All contractors are required to submit a copy of their driver's license or photo identification, which we store electronically. They also complete a personal details form and must provide two work references. While collecting this important information, we are also assessing the candidate's ability to follow instructions and we are able to filter out many cleaners that aren't motivated and methodical. This stage also filters out a number of cleaners that cannot provide references.
- References are contacted and our virtual assistant conducts a standardized interview. Here we check whether the candidate was reliable and punctual, cleaned to a high standard, and if the reference felt that that candidate was honest and trustworthy. Cleaners that cannot provide two positive work references or those whose references cannot be contacted will not proceed in the recruitment process. The reference results are checked by our local administrative personnel and if positive, the cleaner will proceed to recruitment stage 2.
- The contractor will perform a field test. Our field testing team check that cleaning is completed to a high standard and rate the cleaner from 1-5 on 10 point survey that measures the most important qualities of a professional cleaner. The trial clean assesses punctuality, presentation, attention to detail, initiative, experience and 5 other important traits. If the cleaner scores 80% or above on their trial, they will proceed to onboarding.
Our contractors may sub-contract their own personnel to help with their work. In order to protect the customer, for any person other than the primary contractor that will be entering the premises of our clients, the primary contractor must provide:
- Proof that their sub-contractor or employee is engaged legally
- A clean police check from the past 12 months with zero blemishes.
- Two written work references with contact details.
- The primary contractor agrees to be responsible for the quality of work of their team and any damages or liability arising from their team's work.
Beyond Cleaning Group may withdraw all work immediately from any contractor found to have taken a partner, assistant, employee or sub-contractor of their own to our client's premises without providing the required safety checks.
All contractors of Beyond Cleaning Group must hold current public liability insurance or provide a written, signed & dated statement that they choose to self insure and carry the risk. As an additional protection to the customer, Beyond Cleaning Group holds public liability insurance that covers contractors. Should we be unable to recover damages from a contractor in a timely manager, Beyond Cleaning Group will bear the cost of damages and pursue legal action against the contractor.
